Cookie Policy · Last updated 29 October 2026
01Cookies, local storage and this policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which hold information in the browser without sending it with every request. The UK rules for storing information on your device come from the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended. They require clear information and consent for storage that is not strictly necessary, and they apply even when the information is not personal data.
This policy describes what the NexGen eHub website and client portal actually use. It is based on a review of our code and configuration on the date shown above, not on a generic template.
02What we store in your browser
We do not use advertising, behavioural analytics, social media, heat-mapping or cross-site tracking cookies. The table lists every cookie or storage item our own application sets that we are aware of.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-<project-ref>-auth-token | Local storage | Stores your signed-in session so pages and API requests know who you are. Set by our authentication provider, Supabase. Strictly necessary for sign-in. | Until you sign out, the refresh token expires or you clear browser storage. |
sb-<project-ref>-auth-token-code-verifier | Local storage | Short-lived security value used during Google sign-in to complete the sign-in exchange. Strictly necessary for that sign-in method. | Minutes; removed after the sign-in attempt. |
nexgenhub:chunk-reload-at | Session storage | Records the time of an automatic page reload after a deployment, so the browser cannot get stuck in a reload loop. Functional and security related. | Until you close the tab. |
| Stripe checkout cookies | Cookies on Stripe’s domain | Set by Stripe when you open its hosted checkout or billing portal. They support payment security and fraud prevention. We cannot read them. | Set by Stripe under its own cookie policy. |
The <project-ref> part of the key depends on our Supabase project. Your browser may also hold storage set by extensions you have installed; those are outside our control.
03What we do not use
- No Google Analytics, advertising pixels, remarketing tags or affiliate trackers.
- No session-replay, heat-mapping or A/B testing tools.
- No social media embed cookies.
- No third-party web fonts: our typefaces are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact a font CDN to render our pages.
Email is delivered by our email provider, which processes the recipient address and message content in order to deliver it. That is email processing, not browser storage, and it is described in our Privacy Policy.
04Why there is no cookie banner
Consent is not required for storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for. The sign-in session, the sign-in security value and the reload guard fall within that exemption: without them, the portal cannot keep you signed in or recover safely from a deployment.
We do not use analytics or preference cookies that would need consent or an objection mechanism. The 2026 additions to PECR allow limited statistics and appearance storage without consent where a simple, free way to object is offered; we do not currently rely on those exceptions.
If we introduce any non-essential storage, we will update this policy first and add controls that let you accept, reject and change your choice before anything is set. We will not treat a banner alone as proof of compliance.
05Your choices and how to withdraw
You can control or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. In most browsers, the relevant controls are under Privacy, Security or Site Data. Clearing site data for nexgenehub.com will sign you out of the portal.
- Blocking all storage prevents sign-in and the client portal from working; the public website can still be browsed.
- Clearing the sign-in session is equivalent to signing out. Any unsaved work in an open tab may be lost.
- Stripe cookies are controlled on Stripe’s checkout domain and through your browser settings.
Because we do not set non-essential storage, there is no consent choice to withdraw at present. If that changes, a persistent “Cookie settings” link will be provided here and in the site footer.
06Changes to this policy
We review this policy when we add or remove a provider, script or storage item. The “last updated” date shows the current version. Material changes will be announced in the client portal or by email before they take effect.
