Troubleshooting
Fix a failed upload or a stuck AI request
Updated
Most failures are one of four things: the file, the connection, your credits, or a cached page. Work through them in this order.
## The file was rejected
- Check the type. Documents accept PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP, TXT, MD and CSV; voice accepts the audio formats shown next to the uploader.
- Check the size. Document uploads are limited to 10 MB per file and voice to your plan limit.
- Check the contents. A PDF with no text layer needs AI OCR rather than the normal reader.
The message under the uploader names the actual reason. If it says the format is not supported, converting the file is the fix.
## The AI request never finished
AI actions need a stable connection for the length of the request. If the tab was closed or the connection dropped, the action may fail after a delay.
When it fails you are not charged: the credit hold is released. The error message includes the provider's reason where we have one. Try again once, then tell us with the action, the time and what you sent.
## You have run out of credits or hit a daily ceiling
Both are reported clearly. A credit shortfall is fixed by a top-up or a plan change; a daily ceiling resets at midnight UTC.
## The page will not load, or loads an old version
We ship new versions of the site regularly. If a page loads a file that no longer exists, it reloads itself once. If it still fails, a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac) clears the cached copy.
## Still stuck
Raise a ticket from the client portal with the page, the action, the time and the exact message. If the issue is on our side it is already in our error log, and the reference helps us find it faster.
